Dr Manoj K Mondal is a senior financial professional, an academician and an innovator with several patents to his credit. He has received several laurels for his innovations including gold medal for Best Innovation (2008) awarded jointly by Lockheed Martin, Stanford University, University of Texas at Austin USA and FICCI India. He has also received several other awards related to development of new technologies. Dr. Mondal is presently teaching entrepreneurship at IIT Kharagpur as Assistant Professor and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs.

Awarded Gold Medal by Lockheed Martin Corporation, USA for the best innovation through a pan-India competition organized in association with University of Texas at Austin, USA and FICCI (2008).

Received innovation award from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under the TechnoPreneur Promotion Program (TePP), (2010).

Received innovation award from the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) under the program of Technology Refinement and Marketing Programme (TREMAP) (2011).

Recipient of the best innovation award (jointly in a team from IIT Kharagpur) by the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers with a Gold Plaque and cash award for the technology on low-cost sanitary napkin using fibre from jute and indigenously produced super absorbent polymer (2013-14).
